Population: There are no exact data on the number in Kazakhstan, but the population in the country is stable. According to preliminary estimates, the world population is approximately 40-75 million adults.
Status.  
A species used for other economic purposes (except hunting and fishing).
Distribution.  
The ringed turtle dove breeds along the valley of the Zhaiyk River and further to the northeast, covering settlements in the northern part of Aktobe and Kostanay regions. It can also be found in the mountains and foothills from Tashkent to Altai, and further along the Irtysh Valley to Pavlodar. It lives in villages and cities, where it prefers areas of single-storey buildings.
