Korgalzhyn

As part of the “Wildlife of Kazakhstan” project, a large-scale photo shoot was organized in the Korgalzhyn Nature Reserve, one of the most important environmental sites in the country. This reserve, located in the steppe zone of central Kazakhstan, is known for its rich biodiversity and is home to many rare and endangered animal species, including species listed in the Red Data Book.

The main purpose of photography in the Korgalzhyn Nature Reserve is to capture unique moments in the life of rare animals living in this region and emphasize the importance of their conservation. The shooting is also an important part of the educational work of the “Wildlife of Kazakhstan” project, aimed at raising public awareness about the need to protect wildlife.

The Korgalzhyn Nature Reserve is famous for its variety of birds, including the pink flamingo and the steppe eagle, both listed in the Red Book of Kazakhstan. Photographers were able to capture rare images of these majestic birds in their natural habitat. The photographers involved in the project used high-quality equipment and special shooting techniques to minimize interference with animal life. Thanks to this, unique images were obtained that demonstrate the behavior of animals in the wild, their interaction with the environment and with each other.

The collected photos will be used to create the online platform “Wildlife of Kazakhstan”, where everyone can get acquainted with rare species living in Kazakhstan. The platform will become an important tool for educating and drawing attention to environmental issues. Photos will also be included in special thematic exhibitions and photo albums, which will help draw the attention of a wide audience to the conservation of rare species.
