Population: Currently not studied. 1,500individuals were registered near Petropavlovsk in 2016.
Status: Non-endangered game animal.
Habitat: It is widespread in Europe, European Russia, the Pre-Caucasus andTranscaucasia, and the Near East. They are known to move into Kazakhstanfrom the territory of Russia.
